Naomi is a Senior Financial Officer at the World Bank Treasury with over 15 years of professional experience in the financial and insurance sector. She focuses on designing customized financial solutions and risk management strategies for client countries and emerging markets. In this role, she specializes in disaster risk financing and management products, providing advisory and capacity building services to clients and supporting market-based risk transfer engagements.
Before joining Treasury, Naomi worked as a Financial Sector Specialist in the Climate Risk Management team where she worked with many developing country governments to support development of efficient, cost-effective solutions for enhanced financial protection against disasters. Prior to joining the World Bank in 2014, Naomi worked as an actuary for 11 years in various positions at Irish Life Assurance and KPMG where she provided financial and actuarial advice to numerous insurance and reinsurance companies.
Naomi has a first-class honors degree from Dublin City University in Financial and Actuarial Mathematics and is a Fellow of the UK Institute of Actuaries. She is an Irish national, married and a mother of three young children.
