Maimouna M. Fam


Maimouna M. Fam is the Manager of the Fragility, Conflict and Violence Group at the World Bank. Previously, she was the Country Manager for Burkina Faso.

Ms. Fam, a Senegalese national, joined the Bank in July 2007 as a Financial Management Specialist for Mali and Mauritania. She has held various positions in the Governance Global Practice for the Africa Region.

Prior to joining the World Bank, she was Administrative and Financial Director for Senegal’s National Agency for Investment Promotion and Major Projects. Ms. Fam’s extensive experience in the private sector includes the position of Manager and Senior Auditor with international firm Ernst & Young.

Ms. Fam is a qualified Certified Public Accountant with a Master’s in Business Administration from the Rouen Business School in France.  She also holds a Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance and is a Certified Budgeting and Public Accounting Professional.
