Kishan Abeygunawardana is an Economist for Sri Lanka and the Maldives. His responsibilities include monitoring the macro economy and work on topics related to macroeconomics, fiscal policy and public debt management. Previously, he worked for a multitude of local and global financial institutions, gaining experience in the areas of economic research and financial analysis. He has a PhD in Monetary Economics and a Master’s Degree in Financial Economics from the University of Colombo. He is also qualified in accountancy and financial management.
