Keith Patrick Garrett leads the Data Analytics and Tools unit (DECAT), in the World Bank’s Development Data Group. DECAT brings new data sources, new analytical and data integration techniques, free and open tools and training to World Bank counterparts and staff to help them gain current and/or subnational insight for their work. Prior to this assignment, Keith led the World Bank’s Geospatial Operational Support Team (GOST), which advises and assists World Bank teams in applying geospatial data to operational decision making. He has over 20 years of experience bringing data and insight to decision makers around the globe in various capacities. His core interests are economic development policy, economic geography, remote sensing, applied spatial analysis, and machine learning. He is a graduate of Sciences Po in Paris.
