Ekaterina Sycheva EDS23


Ekaterina has over 22 years of experience with international organizations and public sector in finance, international development, trust funds, and governance of international financial institutions. She has been working at the World Bank in different roles for more than 13 years and specializes on shareholding and governance issues, IBRD capital increase, IDA replenishments and fundraising, organizational strategy, results, and effectiveness; as well as on debt initiatives and restructuring.

She has served as a Governing Committee member of the Women Entrepreneurs Finance Initiative since 2017 and as a member of the Selection Committee of the Voice Secondment Program and Respectful Workplace Advisors Program at the World Bank since 2018.

Previously, she worked at the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, focusing on multilateral (Paris Club) and bilateral debt restructurings, and new lending to sovereign governments.

Ekaterina holds degrees from St. Petersburg State University, and the London School of Economics and Political Science, as well as a professional certificate from Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies. She speaks Russian, English, German, and some French. In her free time, she enjoys being with her family and a dog in the nature.
