Daniel Barco


Daniel Barco performs as Economist at the regional office of the World Bank, covering Peru. Daniel is an expert in macroeconomic projection, financial programming, macroeconomic analysis, labor market, electricity market, informality and structural change.

Daniel joined the World Bank as a consultant on macroeconomic issues in February 2015. Since then, he has participated in various projects and publications, including Peru Building on Success: Boosting Productivity for Faster Growth and Peru Systematic Country Diagnostic.

Prior to joining the World Bank, Daniel served as Deputy Manager of Economic Research at Banco BBVA Continental and as Chief of the Real Sector Policy Department of the Central Bank of Peru.

Daniel Barco holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the Universidad del Pacífico, a Master's in Economics from the London School of Economics, and a Certificate of Advanced Studies in International Economic Policy Research from The Kiel Institute for the World Economy, based in Germany.
