Csilla Lakatos is a Senior Economist in the World Bank Thailand Country Office in Bangkok. She leads the World Bank's engagement and dialogue with the authorities in Thailand and Myanmar on macro, fiscal and trade issues. Prior to Bangkok, she led the work program and engagement with the authorities in Indonesia and Timor-Leste focusing on trade, logistics and competitiveness issues.
Prior to joining the World Bank, she worked at the Directorate General for Trade of the European Commission in Brussels and the US International Trade Commission in Washington DC. She holds a PhD in International Trade and Development from Purdue University.
