Based in Sydney, Dr. Arur works with government counterparts, mainly in Papua New Guinea, to provide advice on health sector needs, priorities for public funding, to support the preparation and implementation of programs and to design and implement health sector research and analytics.
She has worked in 18 countries with experience that cuts across a number of areas including health insurance, results based financing, integration of care and contracting for health services. Before joining the World Bank Group, Dr. Arur worked at Abt Associates Inc., a consulting firm with an international health practice. She holds a PhD in Health Systems from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and a Masters in Development Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
