Ali Ibrahim Gur

Ali Ibrahim Gur, a Türkiye national, is the World Bank Group Alternate Executive Director since November 2024.

Prior to joining the WBG Board, Mr. Gur was in senior positions at the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, including Deputy Director General of Economic Programs and Research and Head of Department of the Macro-economic Modeling and Forecasting Department (2013-2024). Earlier in his career he worked for the Turkish Treasury as Senior Specialist and Junior Specialist with the Research Economic Modeling Department (2005-2013).
