  • Improving access to schooling and learning for poor children

    Fostering economic empowerment for female agricultural producers Haiti has some of the lowest school enrollment rate in the world. Nearly half a million children in Haiti did not attend school prior to the 2010 earthquake. With IDA support, 200,000 disadvantaged children in rural Haiti received tuition waivers, 2,600 new teachers have been trained and hot meals are provided for over 80,000 children. Read More »
