The EU cohesion policy is making strong investments to enhance employment, build skills, promote innovations, accelerate the green and digital transition and boost competitiveness in lagging regions. The European Commission and the World Bank are partnering to amplify the returns on these investments by enhancing their focus on results, promoting integrated data ecosystems and AI tools, and deploying trial-and-adopt impact evaluations to support adaptive delivery. Focused on smart investments in people and businesses, this partnership brings science and innovation to cohesion policy.
