Nordic Recruitment & Outreach Mission:

The World Bank Group is launching a recruitment drive aimed at increasing the number of Nordic Nationals in its work force. The commitment to hiring Nordic nationals; Danish, Finnish, Icelandic, Norwegian & Swedish, reflects the World Bank Group’s senior leadership’s commitment for a diverse workforce in which Nordic nationals can play a key role in fighting poverty and increasing shared prosperity.

WBG staff work with governments, civil society groups, private sector and others in developing countries, assisting people in all areas of development, from policy and strategic advice to the identification, preparation, appraisal, and supervision of development projects.

In addition to strong technical competencies, ideal candidates must have a demonstrated capacity for strategic thinking and be fluent in English with very good writing, presentation and communication skills. Positions may be based in Washington, D.C. or in a regional office. As part of a Nordic recruitment mission, WBG staff will be visiting all the Nordic countries to increase awareness about the WBG and to that end, they will share information about the WBG, the different areas in which the WBG is looking for talent and the different employment opportunities available. They will share advice on how to stand out as an applicant and there will also be time for Q&A.
