The World Bank announced today that it intends to prepay an outstanding yen public bond issue, the 6.5 percent Bonds of 1978 - Ninth Series, at its next interest payment date of July 28, 1992.
The aggregate amount to be prepaid to investors is Japanese yen 34.5 billion (about $258.9 million), plus a prepayment premium of 0.5 percent of that amount (Yen 172.5 million).
