World Bank Announces Swiss Franc 100 Million Public Issue

The World Bank today announced a public bond offering in Switzerland of SwF 100 million (about US$58.l million equivalent). The 15-year bonds carry a 6-1/8 percent coupon priced at 101-3/4 percent, for a yield of 5.86 percent on a semi-annual equivalent basis. The bonds will mature on July 12, 2004.

The underwriting group, lead managed by Swiss Bank Corporation with Union Bank of Switzerland and Credit Suisse as co-lead managers, consists of Swiss banks and a group of foreign banks based in Switzerland.
