The World Bank elaborates a follow-up report on the economic situation for all countries, including Tunisia. These reports are based on the official statistics published by the countries until the end of August 2019. For Tunisia, the analysis of public finances was based on the figures available at that date. However, the Ministry of Finance has recently released updated budget aggregates and a supplementary finance law for the year 2019 that show a lower deficit and lower public debt thanks to an increase in budget revenues in a context of slowing growth in addition to the appreciation of the Dinar. World Bank technical teams are in discussion with the Ministry of Finance and other institutions to review and update this report.
