  • The VET.GE website was created under the framework of the “Strengthening Teacher Quality in Vocational Education” project, funded by the UK International Development Department through the British Embassy Good Governance Fund, and implemented by the World Bank in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia.

The project aims at supporting industry-led skills development for Vocational Education and Training (VET) students by enhancing teacher quality and promoting evidenced-based decision making and accountability mechanisms.

With its user-friendly design, the new website provides easy access to necessary information, electronic databases and educational materials to address the needs of major stakeholders and most importantly those of VET students, for whom improved access to data means better informed career choices.

At the same time, the website will provide reliable and holistic data to decision makers in the sector. The portal will enable interested parties to take new opportunities to advance their skills at vocational education institutions, establish shared value partnerships and become advocates of the Georgian VET sector.

The Strengthening Teacher Quality in Vocational Education and Training project is being implemented in close partnership with the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Georgia, and is in line with the Government’s sustainable development agenda, aimed at strengthening human capital for people-oriented economic growth.
