Janet Entwistle is the World Bank Country Representative for Lesotho. She brings to Lesotho extensive experience in country and sector specific World Bank operations and corporate policy specializing in aid effectiveness.
Previously, she has held various leadership positions including Country Representative for Ecuador, Senior Country Officer and Senior Operations Officer.
Entwistle has been recognized for working effectively in operations and at high level decision-making fora on aid effectiveness, having represented the World Bank on OECD-DAC’s Joint Venture on Monitoring the Paris Declaration. She has been recognized for her work in designing and implementing Country Partnership Strategies, strengthening the results focus of Bank operations including of the World Bank education portfolio in Latin America and the Caribbean and encouraging strong partner coordination under government leadership.
She has a Master’s degree in business administration from the University of Virginia’s Darden Graduate School of Business.
