Josefine Durazo is a Survey Specialist in the Surveys & Methods Unit of the Development Data Group. As part of the Living Standard Measurement Study (LSMS) team, she is an expert in the design and implementation of field-based data collection activities. She provides technical assistance to national statistical institutions on large-scale multi-topic household surveys and manages field-based methodological work from design through analysis. Current areas of research interest include poverty, food security, safe drinking water access, and methods for food consumption measurement.
Before joining the World Bank she worked for a small company providing project management support to a large multi-country research program in Brazil and as the Latin America Desk Officer for NASA. She holds a Masters in International Relations from the University of California, San Diego.
