ស្ថានភាពអប់រំនៅកម្ពុជាកំពុងមានការផ្លាស់ប្តូរ។ ការចុះឈ្មោះចូលរៀនថ្នាក់បឋមសិក្សាបានឈានដល់ ៩០% ក្នុងឆ្នាំ ២០១៩ កើនឡើងពី ៨១% ក្នុងឆ្នាំ ២០០៩។ ប៉ុន្តែវិថីឆ្ពោះទៅកាន់ការអប់រំមិនមែនគ្មានឧបសគ្គនោះទេ។ ជារឿយៗ បន្ទុកហិរញ្ញវត្ថុធ្ងន់ធ្ងរលើគ្រួសារ ធ្វើឲ្យកុមារមិនអាចបន្តការសិក្សាដល់ថ្នាក់មធ្យមសិក្សា។ ចាំបាច់ត្រូវមានដំណោះស្រាយចំគោលដៅ ដើម្បីដោះស្រាយសម្ពាធសេដ្ឋកិច្ច និងត្រួសត្រាយផ្លូវសម្រាប់ការសិក្សា។
