Finance for Development (F4D)

The Austrian Federal Ministry of Finance (BMF) has joined the Finance for Development (F4D) Umbrella program to support the fourth phase of the Financial Sector Advisory Center (FinSAC). F4D will provide a global platform for FinSAC to align and coordinate its activities with other global, regional and country financial sector programs, while facilitating effective learning and knowledge exchange with the development partners and other stakeholders.  

The support from the European Commission (EC) targets the growth of the creative and cultural industries in the African, Caribbean, and Pacific (ACP) Group of States. Implemented jointly with the Competitiveness for Jobs and Economic Transformation (C-JET) Umbrella, the initiative will provide strategic technical assistance around private sector and financial sector development to governments in client countries, leveraging large-scale public and private investments. The Spring Meetings are an annual event where global financial leaders discuss international development and the economy. They serve as a platform for cooperation between the World Bank, IMF, and stakeholders on key global issues. Registration is now open. The public can view select event streams, which will be announced closer to the meetings. Registration is not required to view the program of public events, which will be available on World Bank Live (live.worldbank.org).

Global Finance Partner Forum 2024 will bring together partners to review progress achieved, share innovative best practices and key lessons learned, carry out strategic consultations on the priorities for the financial sector moving forward, and identify how we can partner more effectively to achieve meaningful results at scale.
