WASHINGTON, October 14, 2021 – Today, World Bank Group President David Malpass met with Sri Mulyani Indrawati, Minister of Finance, Indonesia.
Noting Indonesia’s accelerating progress in implementing the COVID-19 vaccination programs, President Malpass complimented Minister Indrawati on Indonesia’s work response to COVID-19. President Malpass also welcomed Indonesia’s work to modernize tax policies.
President Malpass and Minister Indrawati also discussed structural reforms and other steps toward a sustainable post-pandemic recovery. President Malpass offered Indonesia the WBG’s assistance in implementing Indonesian policy priorities, including those pertaining to COVID19 vaccine deployment, energy transition, Human Capital, and economic and financial policy reforms.
President Malpass was pleased to congratulate Minister Indrawati Indonesia’s upcoming G20 Presidency and expressed the World Bank Group’s (WBG) commitment to providing support for Indonesia as it advances the G20 policy agenda.
