World Bank Launches Bond in Mexican Peso

Washington, DC, June 26, 2008 – Today, the World Bank launched a 500 million Mexican Peso (MXN) 3-year fixed rate note, to respond to demand primarily from Japanese and European institutional investors. The transaction was sole lead managed by TD Securities.

*On January 1, 2009, IBRD agreed to increase the principal amount of the bond with a second tranche for an amount of MXN 100 million with an issue price of 103.575% (settlement date: January 15, 2009). On March 3, 2009, the principal amount was increased by a third tranche for an amount of MXN 100 million with an issue price of 103.3375% (settlement date: March 13, 2009). On June 18, 2009, the principal amount was increased by a fourth tranche for an amount of MXN 150 million with an issue price of 105.625% (settlement date: June 25, 2009). On July 1, 2009, the principal amount was increased by a fifth tranche for an amount of MXN 500 million with an issue price of 105.5875% (settlement date: July 10, 2009). On July 23, 2009, the principal amount was increased by a sixth tranche for an amount of MXN 500 million with an issue price of 105.90% (settlement date: July 30, 2009). On July 29, 2009, the principal amount was increased by a seventh tranche for an amount of MXN 300 million with an issue price of 105.80% (settlement date: August 7, 2009). On August 7, 2009, the principal amount was further increased by a eighth tranche for an amount of MXN 300 million with an issue price of 105.375% (settlement date: August 14, 2009).The new total outstanding principal amount is MXN 2.450 billion.
