The World Bank today announced a private placement offering in Switzerland of SwF 200 million (about US$ 142.2 million). The 7-year notes, which have a bullet maturity, carry a 7 percent coupon and are priced at 102 percent, for a contractual yield of 6.53 percent on a semi-annual equivalent basis. The notes will mature on August 27, 1997.
The underwriting group, which is lead-managed by Swiss Bank Corporation, consists of Swiss banks and a group of foreign banks based in Switzerland.
