Rachel Yuting Fan is an Economist at the Office of Chief Economist for the Middle East and North Africa Region (MENA) at the World Bank. At the office, she leads and writes in semi-annual MENA Economic Updates, while conducting quantitative economic research that’s published on peer-reviewed journals. Prior to the current position, she was a Research Officer at the Research Department of the International Monetary Fund, where she coauthored in multiple issues of semi-annual World Economic Outlook and monthly Commodity Market Development, and was in charge of IMF’s Primary Commodity Price System.
