The World Bank, in partnership with the European Commission, has assessed the impact of the Common Agricultural Policy on growth, jobs, and poverty in European Union countries.
The third annual conference will be opened by Agriculture and Rural Development Commissioner, Phil Hogan.
Day one discussions will focus on the modernisation and simplification of the Common Agricultural Policy, and will feature a number of high-level panels.
The second day will examine the latest Outlook report (2017–30) covering EU dairy, meat, and crop markets over the next ten years. Produced with the support of the Joint Research Centre (JRC), the Agri Outlook report will be debated by a panel of experts.
Participants include EU institutions, governments and international organisations, those involved in the food supply chain, market experts, academics, think tanks, and civil society.
