Two online talks on bridging research and policy responses to COVID-19 will bring together academics and policymakers to synthetize responses on the future of the value chain, food security, women, youth and vulnerable groups in the post-coronavirus era.

On June 12, LSMS Manager, Gero Carletto will share insights on some of the issues surrounding the collection of survey data to help bridging research and policy response during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.

On June 19, Haishan Fu, Director of the Development Data Group, will present some of the broader World Bank activities in the area of data governance and financing for a more effective operational response to the pandemic.

The talks are organized by the three United Nations Rome-based Agencies, IFAD, FAO and WFP, jointly with the International Consortium on Applied Bioeconomy Research (ICABR), the International Committee of Women in Agricultural Economics (ICWAE) of the International Association of Agricultural Economists (IAAE), The World Bank, and IFPRI.
