Speeding up help in the Ebola crisis, fighting climate change and financing infrastructure in developing countries: World Bank president Jim Yong Kim briefed delegates at the Annual Meetings plenary on the World Bank’s progress towards eradicating poverty by the year 2030. “Conflict, drought, financial shocks, epidemics may sometimes slow us”, said Kim, “but it will not stop us.” The plenary is an international meeting of the governors of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group.
