The World Bank today announced a private placement offering in Switzerland of SwF 100 million (about US$ 79 million). The 7-year notes, which have a bullet maturity, carry a 7-1/2 percent coupon and are priced at 102, for a contractual yield of 7.00 percent on a semi-annual equivalent basis. The notes will mature on January 21, 1998.
The underwriting group, which is lead managed by Banque Paribas (Suisse), consists of Swiss banks and a group of foreign banks based in Switzerland.
