World Bank Announces Swiss Franc 100 Million Public Offering

The World Bank today announced a public bond offering in Switzerland of SwF 100 million (about US$ 80 million). The 5-year bonds, which have a bullet maturity, carry a 7-1/2 percent coupon and are priced at 101-3/4, for a contractual yield of 6.95 percent on a semi-annual equivalent basis. The bonds will mature on December 18, 1995.

The underwriting group, which is lead-managed by Swiss Bank Corporation, consists of Swiss banks and a group of foreign banks based in Switzerland.
