The World Bank announced an issue of $300,000,000 Two-Year U.S. Dollar Bonds offered in markets outside the United States. The bonds, to bear interest at the rate of 6.64% per annum, payable semi-annually, were offered at par on August 12, 1986 to central banks, other governmental institutions and international organizations. A total of 47 institutions subscribed to the issue. A similar issue in the aggregate principal amount of $276,200,000 matured on September 15, 1986.
