The World Bank announced an Issue of $279,900,000 Two-Year U.S. dollar- Bonds offered in markets outside the United States. The Bonds, to bear interest at the rate of 11.26% per annum, payable semiannually, were offered at par on August 16, 1983 to central banks, other governmental institutions and international organizations. A total of 58 institutions subscribed to the issue. A similar issue in the aggregate principal amount of $291,350,000 matured on September 15, 1983.
