The World Bank is currently preparing the National Jobs Program which aims to support the Lebanese Government in improving economic opportunities to target beneficiaries.
In this regard, the Bank team has prepared an Environmental and Social System Assessment (ESSA) to assess and recommend measures for the adequate management of the environmental and social aspects of the program.
Consultation sessions were held in Beirut and Tripoli with government and civil society representatives on February 26 and 27, 2018.
The consultation meetings aimed to present the draft ESSA to key stakeholders and gather feedback to be addressed in the final document.
