CFD-IFIS FLAGSHIP REPORTS SERIES - Discussion of Risks and Returns: Managing Financial Trade-Offs for Inclusive Growth in Europe and Central Asia
January 18, 2017Geneva, Switzerland

The Graduate Institute Geneva's Centre for Finance Development invites you to a discussion with the lead authors of the World Bank flagship report Risks and Returns: Managing Financial Trade-Offs for Inclusive Growth in Europe and Central Asia.

Over the last 25 years financial sectors in  Emerging Europe and Central Asia (ECA) developed unevenly. To boost growth and shared prosperity, finance in ECA must become more balanced and account for trade-offs between financial inclusion and stability. ECA should strive to enhance financial efficiency, broaden finance beyond banking, and focus on inclusion through domestic saving rather than simply through credit expansion.
