February 13, 2017World Bank HQ, Washington DC

The World Bank hosted the first meeting of the Global Tracking Framework (GTF) consortium on behalf of all the stakeholders who want to transform transportation, on January 11th, 2017.

This meeting, which was organized with DFID, was a follow-up on the consultative workshop on the proposed Global Tracking Framework held at the Transport Ministry of Turkmenistan in Ashgabat on November 26th, 2016.

The workshop included approximately 80 participants including UN entities, international organizations, civil society, governments, and the private sector. The objective of the meeting was to bring together the stakeholders in the sustainable mobility arena, to reach consensus on the vision and goals, and the way forward for developing a global tracking framework.
