Scaling Up Finance for Climate Action: A Public-Private Dialogue

World Bank Group President Jim Yong Kim and European Investment Bank President Werner Hoyer open a discussion with policy makers, international financial institutions, civil society and the private sector on what it will take to close the climate finance gap and deliver funds to transition to a low-carbon, resilient economy.

In the run-up to the 21st session of the Conference of Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCC) in Paris, this event will be an important opportunity for policy makers, international financial institutions, civil society and the private sector to have a practical dialogue on what it will take to close the climate finance gap and deliver funds to transition to a low-carbon, resilient economy.  

World Bank Group President Jim Yong Kim and European Investment Bank President Werner Hoyer will provide opening remarks followed by a moderated dialogue among senior policy makers and private sector representatives.
