Mr. Yingming Yang is the Executive Director for China at the World Bank Group.
Prior to that, Mr. Yang was Deputy Director General of the Department International Financial and Economic Cooperation and Deputy Director General of the International Department at the Ministry of Finance of China. He was also the Executive Director for China of the Asian Development Bank from 2009 to 2012.
At different times, he also served as the Authorized Negotiator for China on climate finance at the forum of UNFCCC，G20 Deputy’s Deputy for China on economic and financial issues, the Authorized Negotiator for China on establishing the BRICS New Development Bank (NDB), China National Coordinator and Senior Official for Greater Mekong Sub-regional Economic Cooperation (GMS) and Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC), Board Member of the Green Climate Fund (GCF), Council Member of the Global Environment Facility (GCF), Member of the Governing Council of the Global Infrastructure Facility (GIF), and Alternate Board Member of the NDB.
Mr. Yang holds two Master’s degrees, one is in Literature Criticism from Beijing Foreign Studies University, China, and the other is in Development Economics from University of Manchester, United Kingdom.
