Vickram Cuttaree

Program Leader for Sustainable Development and Infrastructure, Caribbean

Vickram Cuttaree is the Program Leader for Sustainable Development and Infrastructure for the Caribbean at the World Bank’s Latin America and Caribbean Region. In his current assignment, he is responsible for advising the work program relating to transportation, energy, water, urban development, digital development, public-private partnership, climate change, disaster risk management, agriculture, social development, environment and blue economy. He has more than 20 years of professional experience in government, private sector and international organization.

He joined the Bank in 2003 through the Young Professionals Program and has since then worked on Latin America, East Asia, Europe & Central Asia and Middle-East & North Africa. Since joining the Bank, Vickram has worked extensively in transport and infrastructure development, public-private partnership, climate change, and urban development. He has shaped policies in these sectors, and has led World Bank financed projects and technical assistance to Governments.

He is the holder of Master’s degrees in Engineering from the Ecole Nationale Superieure d’Arts et Métiers (France) and Management (Economics and Finance) from Yale University (USA). He has authored or co-authored several publications on topics related to infrastructure development and financing.
