Program Leader, Infrastructure (Kenya, Rwanda, Somalia, and Uganda)

Mits Motohashi is the Program Leader and Lead Energy Specialist in the World Bank’s Practice Group for Infrastructure based in Nairobi, Kenya, covering Kenya, Rwanda, Somalia, and Uganda where he coordinates the World Bank’s engagements and strategies in the infrastructure sectors. He is an international development professional with over 20 years of experience in driving high-impact and innovative infrastructure programs at multilateral and bilateral development banks. Mits joined the World Bank in 2009 as a Young Professional and has since held several positions of increasing complexity and responsibility in the Africa, Europe and Central Asia, and East Asia and the Pacific regions. He holds master’s degrees in energy policy (Imperial College London), law (University of London), and business and administration (Ateneo Graduate School of Business).
