Isabel Santagostino Recavarren joined the Women, Business and the Law team in 2015 and she currently leads the work of the Women Business and the Law team from the Research and Development Center in Chile as Private Sector Development Specialist. Previously she worked on researching and analyzing laws and regulations on violence against women. Prior to joining the World Bank Group, she worked at the Inter-American Commission of Women and at the Office of the Assistant Secretary General of the Organization of American States. Isabel is a member of the New York State Bar, holds an LL.M. in International Legal Studies in Gender and the Law and Human Rights from American University Washington College of Law and a law degree from Bocconi University, Italy. Isabel is fluent in Italian, French and Spanish.
