Abdulmuhsen S. Alkhalaf is the Alternate Executive Director for Saudi Arabia at the World Bank Group since August 3, 2018. Mr. Alkhalaf also served as Advisor to the Executive Director from 2014 to 2018 in the same office.
Prior to joining the World Bank Group, Mr. Alkhalaf served as Economist at the Ministry of Finance of Saudi Arabia where he worked on a number of economic policy issues, with a particular focus on fiscal policy, and a variety of issues on G20 agenda, including representing Saudi Arabia on the G20 Development Working Group. Also, he served as Analyst in the Credit Risk Rating Department at Riyadh Bank before joining the Ministry of Finance.
Mr. Alkhalaf earned a Master’s Degree in Economics from the George Washington University, Washington D.C., USA; a Master’s Degree in Finance from Saint Mary’s University, Halifax N.S., Canada; and a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
