Your organization can participate and contribute to this worldwide initiative by the following means:

  • Collect data relevant to your organization and make it available for worldwide distribution.

  • Identify possible errors, omissions or weaknesses of the current system.

  • Provide comments for further developments and enhancements.

  • Translate some elements of the system to the language of your country.

  • Identify useful dissemination means.

  • Provide funding for future system development

To provide comments or coordinate some partnership, please contact the World Bank staff listed below.

Fax: 1-202-522-3223

To collect data and periodically make it available for worldwide distribution, follow the steps below.

  • Step 1. Contact Rodrigo Archondo-Callao, at the World Bank, to a) define a unique worldwide 4-letter identification code for your organization, and b) identify a contact person on your organization who will coordinate this initiative.

  • Step 2. After downloading the system, use the 4-letter identification code assigned to your organization to create a new ROCKS Database and start collecting data relevant to your organization.

  • Step 3. Send periodically to the World Bank the data you collected, by sending by e-mail your ROCKS Database to Rodrigo Archondo-Callao. The World Bank intents to disseminate every January and July the data received from all worldwide organization collecting data, which wish to make it available. The World Bank will combine all ROCKS databases and disseminate the resulting information on the Bank's website.

If your organization wishes to collect data, but prefers not to make it available worldwide, download the system and create a new ROCKS Database using any 4-letter identification code. Nevertheless, the World Bank will welcome your comments for further system development.

The following table presents the 4-letter identification codes already assigned for different organizations.
