Next Steps on Governance and Anticorruption (GAC) Strategy Implementation

On March 20, 2007, the World Bank Group's Board of Directors unaminously endorsed the new GAC Strategy paper (1.5mb pdf). The paper was revised from earlier drafts, to take into account feedback received from more than 3,200 participants in global consultations between November 2006 - January 2007. The Bank is currently in the process of developing an implementation plan for the strategy, which has been drafted and presented to a committee of the Bank's Board of Executive Directors on July 30, 2007. It is currently being revised in light of initial comments, and will be posted in the early fall for comments.
