World Bank Conducts Assessment of Private Auditing Firms

DAR ES SALAAM, May 17, 2013 -- The World Bank is conducting a second Assessment of Private Audit Firms in Tanzania that are interested in auditing World Bank-funded projects. The purpose of the assessment is to obtain information about the quality control policies and procedures at auditing firms.

Any interested firms should print out and fill in the Africa Region Audit Firm Assessment questionnaire. The questionnaire can also be obtained from either the Office of the Controller and Auditor General or the Executive Director, National Board of Accountants and Auditors of Tanzania.

Once completed, the questionnaires should be submitted either by email to amuuna@worldbank.org, or addressed and delivered by hand or post to the following address:

Completed questionnaires should be received by close of business May 28, 2013. All interested private audit firms are hereby invited to participate.
