The Honorable Jeremy Lefroy, chair of the Parliamentary Network on the World Bank and the IMF, led a parliamentary delegation of 15 MPs to the 2015 edition of the Annual Meetings in Lima. In addition to joining a capacity building program offered by the IMF for CSOs, Academics and MPs, the delegation took part in the CSO forum and the Program of Seminars of the Annual Meetings. The PN delegation also met with senior World Bank and IMF officials including Rachel Kyte, Vice President and Special Envoy for Climate Change; Bertrand Badré, Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer; and Fionna Douglas, Acting Vice President and Director of Operations and Strategy for External and Corporate Relations. The discussions centered around the role of parliamentarians in addressing the Sustainable Development Goals, Finance for Development, Jobs and Growth, Climate Change, and the Migrant/Refugee crisis.
