Some 30 representatives joined the European Private Sector Liaison Officers (PSLO) Retreat held in Berlin May 20-22, organized in collaboration with the PSLOs for Germany based at the Association of German Chambers of Commerce and Industry (DIHK), the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Stuttgart Region (Stuttgart IHK), and Germany Trade & Invest (GTAI). The program included sessions on World Bank procurement policy and procedures, the Global Partnership for Social Accountability (GPSA), the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). The event was held in conjunction with the Metropolitan Solutions Fair, a combined smart-city conference and expo. PSLO retreats allow PSLOs to further develop their knowledge and understanding of WBG products and services, discuss development topics of interest to the private sector, and foster knowledge-sharing and collaboration among network members.
