World Bank Group President Jim Yong Kim traveled to Helsinki on February 11, 2015 to participate in the WBG Nordic-Baltic Governors meeting. The meeting is traditionally held annually in one of the constituency’s capitals and provides Governors with the opportunity to discuss upcoming priority issues with the WBG President. This year, Finland was the host and the discussion focused on the implementation of the WBG strategy, Africa’s economic prospects and the Ebola crisis, as well as the post-2015 agenda and upcoming international climate conference (COP21) in Paris. President Kim subsequently also held a joint press conference with Finnish Minister for International Development, Sirpa Paatero.
