The multi-donor TFET provides grants for economic reconstruction and development activities in East Timor that are prepared and supervised by the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The World Bank is the trustee. The ADB manages TFET projects aiming to rehabilitate roads, ports, water utilities, telecommunications and power, with the World Bank in charge of TFET projects in the sectors of health, education, agriculture, private sector development and economic capacity building. The World Bank and ADB work together in community development projects including microfinance. Show Less -

Through the councils, local communities receive grants to rehabilitate basic infrastructure and restart economic activities.
