Lead Financial Economist,

Sahar Nasr is the Lead Financial Economist in the World Bank's Finance and Private Sector Development Department of the Middle East and North Africa. She is a regional leader for the World Bank on issues of financial sector development, and non-bank financial institutions, as well as, the Program Manager of the MENA Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Technical Assistance Facility, focusing on financial inclusion. She has worked in technical and managerial positions in bank restructuring, mortgage finance, affordable low-income housing, access to finance, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), and microfinance, as well as issues of corporate governance and transparency.
