Paulina Gomulak, a Poland national, is the World Bank Group Alternate Executive Director representing Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Poland, Serbia, Switzerland, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan since September 1, 2016.
Before joining the Bank Ms. Gomulak was responsible for programming and/or implementation of international relations policy of Polish central bank (Narodowy Bank Polski, NBP) in bilateral and multilateral dimension (AIIB, BIS, EBRD, ECB, IMF, OECD, World Bank Group). In that capacity she served as IDA Deputy and represented Poland in International Relations Committee (IRC) of the European Central Bank and ECB IRC Task Force for Central Bank Cooperation. She also led the technical cooperation program of NBP for over 4 years.
Throughout her professional life Ms. Gomulak has gathered experience in 1) conducting efficient communication at the top decision making level, 2) leading high risk/value/level negotiations, 3) governance matters, 4) procurement and contracting (buyer's side), 5) managing teams (including optimization projects), 6) competition policy matters (consulting and authority side), 7) international relations, 8) traveling less than 50% of the time.
Ms. Gomulak graduated with a M.SC. in Economics, University of Lodz, Poland.
