Christoph Pusch is Practice Manager for the Europe and Central Asia (ECA) Region in the World Bank's Urban, DRM, Resilience, and Land Global Practice. He overseas an investment portfolio of more than $5 billion and a wide range of analytical services and technical assistance programs. This includes areas such as sustainable cities, regional development, tourism & cultural heritage preservation, integrated solid waste management, affordable housing, local government reform and municipal financing, urban resilience, risk financing, emergency reconstruction and recovery, post disaster needs assessments, resilience of critical infrastructure and public buildings, multi-hazard early warning systems, geospatial information, and modernization of cadaster systems.
He has over 20 years of experience in sustainable development. Prior to joining the Bank in 1998, he worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Germany. He holds a master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from the Technical University of Berlin.
